I will be completely up front and admit that I did NOT eat the pizza here (although it looked delicious). I am writing this review because the owner of this pizzeria is absolutely the NICEST person you could hope to meet - especially in distress! As background, I am an American visiting the beautiful area of Nice for the first time. I had a dinner reservation in Nice and was traveling by train from Monte Carlo to get there. Halfway there, despite trying to keep my phone off to preserve the battery, it dies. Once I got off the train I had no way of finding the restaurant nor my hotel (which I found out later was over 50 min away walking). There were no cabs. It was almost 10 at night. In desperation I went to Allo Pizza as it was one of the only places open nearby. I asked the owner in my poor French! If he could help direct me to my hotel. He was beyond kind. He helped charge my phone, he helped call me a taxi. He REFUSED to take any money from me for his trouble. It is because of his kindness that I finally made it back safely to my hotel. I would encourage anyone who is looking for a good pizza place in Nice with EXCELLENT service and a caring, energetic owner to go to Allo Pizza!
